What is the difference between sound insulation and sound absorption?
Sound absorption material is applied in a room to absorb sound in the room. Sound insulation material, on the other hand, is applied to the outer shell of the room or building to reflect sound from outside so that it cannot penetrate the room.
What is vibration isolation?
When an appliance or other source of sound makes contact with the substrate, vibration is created due to noise production. Vibration isolation provides a buffer between the source of sound and the substrate so that vibration is prevented.
What is anti-drumming?
Anti-drumming specifically involves counteracting the vibration of plates in steel, aluminum, wood or plastic. These vibrations occur because the plates begin to move. Anti-drumming material makes the plates heavier so they move less and therefore cause less noise.
